Sometimes you need some motivation or inspiration to get you going when it comes to crafting. That’s exactly what happened this week when I came across the ‘Trigger Tuesday” series on Papercrafts’ MoxieFabWorld Blog. Ran by the editors of PaperCrafts magazine, they introduce a photo as inspiration for a papercrafting project. This is the photo for this week’s “Trigger Tuesday: Finese the Dress” inspiration:

I liked the mix of the blue and grey colors, along with the swirled print and the lace look. Well, here’s my card made with this dress as the inspiration:
The lighting doesn’t do the card justice since I took it at 7am this morning when the sun wasn’t out yet! But I got to try a fun embossing technique with a swirl stamp to create a full pattern on a piece of scrap cardstock. I then used edge punch to create the laced border. Add a pretty glittered bird sticker and a phrase stamp and voila! Here’s a fun new birthday card for an upcoming special birthday!
Here’s another close up so you could see the glistening embossing effect and the glittered bird.

Thanks for the inspiration Moxie Fab!
