My nephew Blake (3 months shy of 3 years) and my cousin Liam (4.5 years) are both at really great ages. They’re becoming more talkative, animated and just over more silly together, which is really fun to be around. I use any holiday or occasion as an excuse to give them some little trinkets and see their eyes light up with curiosity.  Recently, I took the opportunity to design a few rainbow themed activities for them in honor of the upcoming rainbow filled day of St. Patrick’s Day.

I filled cute green organza bags with an assortment of colorful cereal loops, a piece of yarn and some custom printables and watched them get to work! These bags were the perfect size for little hands, allowing me to safely transport their gift, but also allow them to peak inside.

The first activity involved making a rainbow by sorting colors and laying them onto a printable of a pot of gold.

They loved this part, naming the colors out loud and finding the spot on the printable to place them.

Next, they threaded the cereal pieces onto some yarn to make custom necklaces with a pattern of their choice.

While Liam informed me that “necklaces are for girls” Blake happily strung his along, oblivious of the gender driven fashion piece. Tip: roll a piece of tape to the end of the yarn to make it easily to thread the cereal on. Finally, they loved munching down on the sugary treats. Overall, I think they had a fun time with this rainbow filled craft and snack!

BONUS FOR YOU: I turned the lucky tags, rainbow making pot of gold game and necklace making note into a free printable for you to download. Click on the image above to download the 2 page spread featuring all three components. (The first page has 4 of the lucky tags, if you’re only interested in that piece.)

If you’re looking for an assortment of bags (paper, organza, plastic, etc) for your next event or party, make sure you check out StoreSupply.com. I was generously donated these bags for my post, but was drooling over the full assortment of bag choices available in their store that I can use for future parties and crafts!

Can we agree that this year has been like no other Can we agree that this year has been like no other for us parents but especially for our teachers?! Don't wait for the last day of school to say thank you, but find little ways to make their day including a small something #teacherappreciationweek!
.
I collaborated with @hellocutenails to design these cute tags perfect to thank a teacher in your life! They pair well with anything nails or spa related if you want to go that route for a teacher gift in May or the end of the school year.
.
Those who have been following me for a while know I just discovered @redaspenlove nails this year thanks to Laura, who is one of their brand ambassadors. It''s a little press on nail kit that's perfect to slap on before an event, if you use your hands a lot for video or photo content, or if you just wanna look cute!
.
As a creator who bites her nails, this little $13 box has given me more confidence out in the resl world and in these squares. I plan to share more with my experience on this nail kit in my stories this week, so leave any questions you have below!
.
If you're interested in trying them out, reach out to @hellocutenails and tell her Tara of Spotofteadesigns sent you! This isn't a sponsored post and I don't get any commissions off her sales. Just happy to share my experience and contact from one woman to another.

I'm Tara. 🙋‍♀️

I prefer M&Ms to "fancy" chocolate brands, room temperature water to ice cold, and Gerber daisies to roses. 🌺
.
I love browsing at stores more than buying, am always a sucker for a play on words, and I love me a google doc spreadsheet for just about anything. 🤓
.
According to my hubby who has known me almost half my life, I am not a fan of loud air noises (fans/wind etc), water blasted on high, or closing drawers/cabinets fully. 🙈
.
I also don't drink coffee or tea (despite my brand name!) and at 39 years old, am currently on the hunt for cute adult pjs vs wearing the old tshirts from high school to bed.
.
My girls share a birthday 2 years apart (#nehilbirthdaytwins). Yes they love it now because they don't know any different and they pretty much share friends anyway so we just do one party a year!
.
Thanks for following along with my feed full of crafts, parties, home decor and parenting.

I know many think of it as the twisted backdrops for parties in the 80s, but I've used it in lots of other ways! How do you like the black crepe paper spiderweb I made for this Spiderman party I styled a few years back?
