One year ago yesterday I had lunch with my good friend, and fellow Etsy shop owner, Laura of Indigo Ink Boutique. Her shop was fairly new but since she did so much research and development prior, she was fast tracking to success. (Seriously check out her site for instant downloads for all sort of holidays and everyday activities including her widely popular personalize handwriting worksheets!)
After leaving that lunch I decided to open my Etsy shop, whose name I had saved years prior. I went live with only a few listings of items I already had created and were easy to convert to an instant download (like these Mermaid Favor Tags – my number one selling item)! I am happy to report I made my first sale only 5 days later and they slowly trickled in after.
I have since slowly added new listings to support holidays and parties I’ve styled. And with each sale made I’m encouraged to add more to my shop.
My designs have sold to 44 of the 50 states and 11 different countries around the world! (if you know anyone in those last 6 states, give them a heads up!)
Seriously each shopper who supports this small business makes this business owner do a happy dance when the notification sound goes off on my phone! So THANK YOU for that dance time! I really do appreciate it!

An idea of something great and crafty you could add to your Etsy shop are the school boards. Different styles and designs. I love the ones that have the first and last day. I’ve also see the Apple shaped boards as well.
Very cute idea! I’m not really looking to get into physical items right now though, only printable stuff.
I would like to see some outer space themed items. These could be used for a birthday, Valentine’s Day, Mother & Father’s Day, etc…
