You may remember last year that my mom specifically asked me for her very own wood bead necklace after seeing the one I made for my then pregnant self:
(Ask me if I ever saw her wear it since and the answer would be no. Mom – have you ever worn it?)
This year I hunted around on my Pinterest boards and actually MADE one of the things I’ve been coveting forever for my mom for mother’s day. It’s a bird’s nest necklace!
I followed this tutorial from Sincerely Kinsey and spent some time winding and weaving this nest pattern. I used three pearls to represent her three grandkids and I love how it came out!
In fact, I loved it so much that I made my own with slightly pinkish pearls and a darker brown wire. I hung mine on a longer chain (which seems to be the trend) but knowing my mom wouldn’t like that length, she got a standard necklace length.
Hope you had a good mother’s day, Mom!
