Every year I like to gift the girls’ teachers with a gift card (usually to Target) plus a little something physical. This year I decided to go with some school mascot ornaments for the girls teachers using a marbled paint technique for the inside. Our school colors are blue and white so I used a variety of blues to make a cool effect inside.

Marbled Christmas Ornament Supplies:

  • Clear Ornaments
  • Acrylic Paint (Deco Art Americana Acrylics are my go to ALWAYS!)
  • Vinyl
  • Cricut
  • Weeding Tools (I use this 5 piece kit ALL THE TIME)
  • Baker’s Twine

First remove the ornament topper and begin pouring some paint in. Swirl it around as you pour it to start coating the walls with different patterns. Squeeze in other colors and swish it around some more and watch the cool effect that’s created. Tip: put your thumb over the opening when swishing to prevent any dripping paint from escaping!

Once completely dry, put the ornament topper back on. Apply your vinyl design of choice on either side. I chose to feature our school mascot as I’m giving these to the teachers this Christmas.

Complete with a little ribbon and baker’s twine and your DIY marbled Christmas ornaments are complete!

I chose monochromatic colors for this gift but you could easily pick any color combo you choose! Imagine pretty pastels for a unicorn themed ornament, warm colors with some gold glitter vinyl or patriotic colors with a USA themed ornament!

Just like a fingerprint, each of these marbled Christmas ornaments will be completely unique!
