Here in New Jersey, we got to school until mid June, just days away from the official first day of summer. I like to use this time to gift a few items that are needed for that ultra fun childhood summer season!
First, to make it extra special I used my waterproof Oracal 651 vinyl to personalize these sand buckets with a fun “school’s out for summer” message! (Side note: I personally am NOT a fan of personalizing kids toys and clothes that they’d use in public spaces. I don’t need strangers confusing them and saying their names to them at the beach!)
Inside I included Summer Bridge First to Second and Third to Fourth books for my girls to work on all summer long! The goal is for each girl to complete just one or two sheets a day in hopes of lessening the dreaded “summer slide”. They jump around on all sorts of themes, from language arts, phonics, and math which makes them a good refresher on the previous school year.
I also got 2 Bunch o Balloons packs that be will be fun one hot summer day.
Summer wouldn’t be complete without a new bathing suit and I found these adorable colorblock style ones at the Gap Outlet online. Each girl also got a new Treat Yourself or Flamingo t-shirt from Target and Citronella wristbands, to help deter those pesky bugs, from the Dollar Tree.
I can’t wait for them to see these buckets of fun on the last day of school this June!
Grab this SVG cut file and create these buckets for your kids!
