It’s bridal shower season! Old tradition was to make a paper plate hat and make the bride wear this hat for silly photos at her shower. Modern bridesmaids are now turning these ribbons into a ribbon bouquet for use in the bride’s wedding rehearsal before the big day!

Here’s how to make a ribbon bouquet for the rehearsal so they don’t have to wear the ribbon hat!
Supplies:
- Strong paper plate
- Scissors
- Tape
- Ribbons/Bows from the gifts received (not shown)
PREP BEFORE THE BRIDAL SHOWER! Cut several holes in the plate, with the biggest in the center. Bring this premade to the shower.
DESIGNATE ONE CRAFTER. As the bride opens her gifts, have the bridemaids hand you any ribbons or bows. For ribbons that don’t have a bow, make your own, then thread the loose ends through the holes in the plate.
TAPE! Use tape to attach any of the premade bows. Use thin ribbons along the edges and curl with your scissors by running the blade along the ribbon.
KEEP GOING! Continue to fill the bouquet with collected bows as she opens gifts. It might look like a mess as you work on it, but I promise it will take shape as you continue making it.
BRAID THE ENDS! Once you have collected all the bows, begin braiding those that are hanging through the holes. This braid will become the handle to carry the bouquet at the rehearsal. Tie a knot at the end to secure it.
REHEARSAL READY! In the end, the bride will be ready to use her ribbon bouquet at the rehearsal when she practices walking down the aisle for her big day!

Love this! Can also use a Bow K to collect the ribbons and create a rehearsal or bachelorette bow bouquet. The handle makes it easy to carry.
