1 year ago today I got married to the greatest guy! After 10 years of dating, we finally tied the knot and had the best day weather wise, friendship wise, family wise, and planning wise. I didn’t really get frustrated with the wedding planning process, but loved trying to find ways to make it personalized for us. One of those included our shoes that has become a weird signature for us!

After seeing a lot of Converse wearing groomsmen on Pinterest and showing the idea to Derek, he was in, especially since Converse shoes are a staple in his shoe collection anyway! All the men (dads included) wore black Converse throughout the day. Once I was married, I came out at the reception wearing my own pair of purple converse.

Followers know that we then used these same wedding shoes in part of our announcement about our little arrival that was mailed to family and friends:

We also got little sock versions of this popular shoe for our baby girl’s little feet:

Today’s our first year wedding anniversary!! On our honeymoon, Derek suggested we start the yearly tradition to wear our wedding shoes out for an anniversary date and I piped in that we should just spend time together, no presents.

So that’s what we’re doing today!

But a card doesn’t count of presents, so I made sure to make him a custom card for our big first anniversary. It’s made with a bunch of random older die cuts and stickers from my stash!

Happy Anniversary Derek!! XOXO
Supplies: Die Cuts: BoBunny | Stickers: Echo Park, KI Memories
HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!! Love the card…so very sweet. :)
